Preparation in 9 steps
Preheat pizza stone in gas grill or oven to maximum heat.
Divide dough in half.
Shape dough balls into a round pizza on a lightly floured work surface. Leave about 3 cm of edge.
Cut bacon into bite-sized pieces and fry in a pan over medium heat for about 3 minutes. Remove bacon from the pan and add spinach, sauté for about 1 minute in the bacon fat until the spinach has wilted.
Peel onion and cut into thin rings. Tear mozzarella into small pieces.
Dust the pizza peel with flour and slide the pizza crust on top.
Spread dough from the inside out in circular motions with barbecue and tomato sauce.
Top dough with mozzarella, bacon, spinach, and onions.
Bake in the gas grill or pizza oven for about 3-5 minutes, or in the regular oven for about 10 minutes, until the dough is crispy and the cheese is melted.
