Spinach Pizza

Pizza is always a good idea. And it's best when it's fresh from the pizza stone or the pizza oven. Have you already indulged in the most delicious things from Salami Pizza to Meatball Pizza to Chocolate Pizza, and today you're trying to go for something a bit healthier? Well, then the Spinach Pizza with roasted Pine Nuts and Feta Cheese is the right choice.

Fresh spinach adds some green to your dough and the combination of tomato sauce, flavorful feta, and mozzarella is truly delicious. Don't believe it? Then try it out for yourself!

MY TIP:
If the pizza doesn't easily slide off the peel, try using semolina instead of flour!

Preparation in 7 steps

1

Wash and dry the spinach. Peel the garlic and grate it finely. Toast the pine nuts in a pan over medium heat without adding any fat for about 4 minutes until they are evenly brown.

2

Bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch the spinach in it for 1 minute.

3

Preheat pizza oven, gas grill, or oven with pizza stone to maximum heat.

4

Shape pizza dough with your hands to about 1 cm thick and round.

5

Generously dust the pizza peel with flour and place the pizza crust on it. Thinly spread the dough with tomato sauce from the inside out in circular motions. Spread garlic on the sauce. Roughly tear the mozzarella and distribute it evenly on the tomato sauce. Top with spinach. Drain the feta, crumble it with your hands, and spread it on top of the spinach.

6

Bake the pizza on the pizza stone in the pizza oven for 2-3 minutes, in the gas grill for about 5 minutes, or in the oven for about 10 minutes, until the dough is crispy and the cheese has melted.

7

Sprinkle pizza with pine nuts.
